With the ESP25 at Anthonio’s Pizza, we’ve helped ensure more sustainable operations and improved relations with neighbours – all without compromising the restaurant’s daily routine.”

project description
Soot issues were resolved with a discreet and efficient filtration solution
Anthonio’s Pizza near Peterborough was facing challenges with soot and smoke emissions from their wood-fired oven, which led to repeated complaints from neighbours. To address both environmental concerns and maintain good neighbour relations, the restaurant partnered with Exodraft. We installed an ESP25 electrostatic particle filter specifically designed to effectively remove soot particles from flue gases. The filter was discreetly mounted in the attic — just beneath the roof — allowing for optimal installation conditions and easy access for maintenance. Once in operation, the filter significantly reduced chimney emissions and laid the foundation for a more responsible and sustainable restaurant operation — without interfering with daily business.

Mounted in the loft, directly onto the flue pipe from the wood-fired oven
The solution involved installing Exodraft’s ESP25 electrostatic particle filter directly onto the flue pipe from the wood-fired oven. ESP25 is engineered to remove ultrafine particles and soot from flue gas with high efficiency — an ideal choice for densely built areas where emissions can become a concern for neighbours and environmental authorities. The filter works by ionising the particles in the flue gas and capturing them on a collection plate inside the unit. The compact placement in the attic allowed for easy maintenance, enabling staff to clean the filter every two weeks — a routine that was followed consistently. The system required minimal adjustments and was integrated without disrupting the restaurant’s operations, making it a seamless and efficient

handover and results
Smooth installation and noticeable results
The handover of the ESP25 filter at Anthonio’s Pizza was carried out in close collaboration with both the owner and the restaurant’s technical staff. Exodraft’s installation team ensured a smooth installation process, tailored to the restaurant’s opening hours and daily operations, and the staff received thorough training in cleaning and maintenance – a key factor in maintaining optimal filtration efficiency. Thanks to its easily accessible placement in the loft, maintenance could be carried out quickly and safely.
Shortly after commissioning, a significant reduction in smoke nuisance was recorded, and complaints from neighbours ceased. The filter delivered results from day one, and the solution not only improved relations with the surroundings but also provided greater reassurance in relation to authorities and environmental regulations. Later, Anthonio’s Pizza chose to replace the wood-fired oven with a gas-powered model, but the ESP25 filter remained in operation to continue filtering even minor emissions – a clear reflection of the restaurant’s responsible approach to sustainable operation.
